Eight Great Happy Hours in the City of Brotherly Love

There is no better place to catch happy hour than in Philadelphia. Whether you live in Center City, Northern Liberties, or anywhere else within the City of Brotherly Love there’s a place to grab a drink for you. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best happy hours around the city - we hope we don’t tempt you too much to grab that much-needed after-work drink (:

Who doesn’t love a refreshing marg? At Las Bugambilias you can catch $7 margs, $6 wines, and $4 draft beers of the day. Their happy hour also includes some tasty delights like $7 pastor tacos, $6 churros, and a few other small plates! This happy hour is definitely worth it for their tasty drinks, but even better food. The head chef is top-rated and one of the leading chefs in Philly with executive training in fine Mexican Cuisine!

2. The Hadley
@the Hadley, we love you! Wednesday through Friday their happy hour is serving you $8 well cocktails and $6 featured beers, The Hadley does not miss. Not only are the drinks amazing, but the food is delicious here. The happy hour menu features buffalo cauliflower, flatbreads, and much more. This is a great new spot for the post-work day crowd!

3. The Olde Bar
Voted best happy hour by the Philadelphia Inquirer, you can check out their menu every Wednesday through Sunday 4-6 pm. Who doesn’t love a happy hour that extends to the weekend? Located right near Penn’s Landing the Olde Bar has so much food and drink to offer! With $5 house wines, draft beers, and a fish house punch, there is something for everyone. The happy hour food has such a delectable spread to choose from, like $5 mini seafood rolls and fried oysters. In the heart of Rittenhouse resides Pietro's on Walnut. This authentic Italian spot offers a bunch of small plates like meatballs, mussels, fried mozzarella, and risotto balls all for under $10. The drinks here pair perfectly with the savory delights. Happy hour drinks include $5 draft beers and $6 wines. Check out Pietro's every Monday through Friday from 4 to 6pm!

Another great Center City happy hour spot is Finn McCool's. We have to say the highlight of this happy hour is definitely the food, they are serving up some of the best cheesesteak eggrolls in the city! Monday through Friday from 4 to 7pm this Irish pub is serving up $4 beers and wines and $6 apps! If you’re looking for an inexpensive but amazing happy hour this is the place to be.

6. Urban Village Brewing Company
Urban Village Brewing Company is known for its pizza and beers! This tasty happy hour is great for Fishtown locals, serving up some great in-house brews. During their happy hour you can grab tasters for $1.5, half-pints for $3, full pours for $5, and pizza for $10.

7. Devil's Den
Last but not least we have Devil’s Den in South Philly. This gastropub made PhillyMag’s list of 50 best bars in Philadelphia, and we can see why! Devil’s Den is serving up great drinks during happy hours, like $5 wines and hard ciders as well as $6 house old-fashioned. With the temperature dropping this is the perfect place to cozy up next to their amazing fireplace with a drink in hand.

8. Thirsty Dice
This wouldn’t be a blog about happy hours if we didn’t provide a suggestion for everyone! The Thirsty Dice is a fun place in Fairmount where you can play board games and sip on some delicious mocktails. This cool spot has happy hour weeknights from 5 to 7 pm with $4 drafts, $6 appetizers, and so much more. For those looking for a tasty non-alcoholic drink, this is the place to be!
